The
Salsa Society runs regular salsa lessons at all levels on Mondays - check out
our Classes page! Classes take place at Somerville College,
taught by the fabulous Julian Summers and Elaine Snell, and are an excellent
way to learn to dance, meet new people, and relax between all those
deadlines!
If
you thought that classes were all we did, check out the Oxford University Salsa Team and prepare to be amazed!
Our Salsa Team perform at balls, charity shows, nightclubs and all kinds of
events throughout Oxford!
Watch out for special events and parties, including our fantastic annual Salsa Ball, organised by the society. We also host a weekly social dancing night at Anuba, and fortnightly classes and social dancing at Bar Risa - all levels very welcome - hope to see you there!

27/04/09 - Welcome back!
Classes are back for Trinity Term - starting Monday 27th April. Join us for Bachata at 6pm, followed by Beginners, Improvers and Intermediate from 7-10pm.
N.B. No class in 2nd week (4th May), but we have a special workshop on Sunday 10th May with guest teacher Thomas Finch.
Anuba and Bar Risa will be running as usual, so you can reward yourself for all that hard work and have a well-deserved dance or two!

We hope you've all had a fantastic term of salsa, and enjoyed the Ball! Thank you to everybody who came along and made Latino Royale such an amazing event!

Happy New Year from everyone at OUSS! Hope you're rested, refreshed and ready for a salsa-filled 2009!

-**Salsa@BarRisa - New for 2009!!** Starting this year, OUSS will be hosting fortnightly salsa nights at Bar Risa on Sunday evenings. Beginners and Improvers Lessons followed by Social Dancing 'til late. It's gonna be great - we can't wait - see Bar Risa page for full details.

Hilary term means it's time for the annual OUSS Salsa Ball!(woohoo!!!) And this year it's bigger and better than ever! Featuring a day of salsa workshops with amazing guest teachers, followed by a fantastic party at The Regal, Oxford, with lessons, shows, a beautiful dance floor and great music. 15/12/08 - Happy Holidays!!
The last Anuba of 2008 will be this Wednesday, 17th December. Come along and help us make it the best Anuba of the year! We will be taking 2 weeks off and Anuba will be back as usual on Wednesday 7th Jan 2009.
Watch out for our newsletter with details of next year's classes, socials and events - we have lots of exciting dancing planned! In particular - keep Sunday 8th March free for the best salsa event of the year - the OUSS Annual Salsa Ball 2009!!!
16/11/08 - No class in 6th Week!! Styling Workshop 29th Nov!!
Don't forget - due to our usual venue being unavailable, lessons are cancelled this week only (17th Nov) . Lessons will be running at Somerville, as usual, in 7th and 8th week.
And... if the thought of a whole week without salsa is just too horrible to bear, don't panic! Remember you can salsa all night at Anuba on Wednesday!!
